Detailed description
Smadav is a security program from Indonesian developers designed for additional system protection against viruses and malware. It can be installed and used in conjunction with another antivirus as a second line of defense for your system.
Smadav uses proprietary detection technologies based on behavior, heuristics and whitelisting, as well as Smadav-AI artificial intelligence-based detection. Since Smadav is not designed to provide full system protection, the developers recommend using it only in conjunction with your main antivirus, or as a scanner for periodic system checks.
Additionally, Smadav provides protection against infection via USB sticks. Smadav scans all connected USB drives and removes malicious files, including unknown threats.
Smadav consumes little system resources and Internet traffic, so its operation will not affect the system performance. The paid version of Smadav Pro includes additional tools for recovering some operating system parameters which could have been changed by viruses or malware. Also, the paid version does not have a pop-up banner and has some additional features, such as password protection.
